In addition to the omega-3 fatty acids, the capsules contain the monounsaturated fatty acids cetoleic acid* (omega-11) and gondoic acid* (omega-9). These fatty acids are also found in high quantities in deep-sea fish and are known for their anti-inflammatory properties. The effect of supplementing with the omega triple on metabolic syndrome and on the skin's appearance, e.g. redness, is being scientifically investigated. Furthermore, taking cetoleic acid appears to have a positive effect on the omega-3 index. A high omega-3 index is associated with a low risk of heart disease.
